No. The Pod is not a tanning bed. Unlike tanning beds, which use ultraviolet (UV) light to tan the skin, The Pod uses red light therapy and infrared heat, which do not emit UV rays and will not tan or damage your skin. The therapies are designed to support relaxation, recovery, circulation, and overall wellness—not cosmetic tanning.
No. Red light therapy does not use UV light, so it does not cause sunburn or tanning. The infrared warmth is gentle and adjustable for your comfort. If you ever feel too warm during your session, you can easily adjust the temperature or end the session at any time.
The Pod is designed with comfort in mind. Your head remains outside the pod for the entire session, so you can breathe fresh air, see the room around you, and never feel completely enclosed. You are always in control of your experience. The pod can be opened at any time, and if you ever feel uncomfortable, you can simply end your session. Many guests who were initially concerned about claustrophobia are pleasantly surprised by how open and relaxing it feels.
